Siguna's 2nd Litter

Oci-Info

Siguna's second litter was born on the morning of 26th October 2007.  There were two male kittens, a lilac silver and a blue silver.  We decided to name them both after two brothers from Norse mythology who were the sons of Thor: Northsprite Magni and Northsprite Modi.

Modi, or 'Midnight' to give him his pet name, went to join another of our kittens from Freya's 2nd litter.  He's now living with 'Suki', Sarah and Tony near Bradford.  Magni stayed with us.

The kittens were sired by Thickthorn Thor, our chocolate boy.  Here's the parents cuddling up together.

Both kittens did well over the first few days, feeding constantly!  Here's a shot of them having a feed in the first hours of their life...

As young kittens, when they weren't eating they slept.  Here they are snoozing between meals.

By the time the kittens were 2 weeks old  their eyes were open and they were more mobile around their 'nest'.  Siguna and the kittens were isolated at this point, but we went in to see them throughout the day.  Here's a photo of them aged nearly 2 weeks.

Time flew by and the kittens grew rapidly!  They are became more playful by the day.  Both rushed to meet us as we entered the room, then purred when they are picked up.  Mum was still very attentive and always aware where her kittens were.  Here are a couple of individual photos taken aged 4 weeks.  Firstly Northsprite Magni, a lilac boy...

Like all kittens, they were very close to each other as they grew.  Here's the pair of them in their basket.

This picture is their first taste of chicken and rice.  They lapped it up.  They were also beginning to use the cat lit too at this stage!!

'Yum yum!'

Gradually they were  introduced to other parts of the house and to the other cats.  They still spent the majority of their time with Mum in their room.  This is the two of them playing in their room aged about 5 weeks.

'You flush it out 'n' I'll pounce on it!'

Time flies when you're having fun!!  By the time they were 9 weeks they had the run of the house and kept us all entertained.  This, we feel, gets our kittens used to the sights, sounds and smells of a family home.  They also get used to our other cats.

Midnight and Suki get to know each other

Midnight went to his new home and settled quickly.  Here's a lovely photo sent to us just a few days after his arrival. (Nice to see Suki grew in to such a stunning cat too!)
