Oci-Info

Siguna's first litter were born on the morning of 5th May 2006.  She had two girls.  One was a black-silver, whilst the other was blue.  We decided to stick to the Norse Mythology theme when naming the cats.  They are named after two sisters Einmyria and Eisa.  They also carried the 'Northsprite' prefix.

Both kittens went further North to their new homes.  Eisa traveled to Stockton on Tees to live with Kelly, Marc and their young family.  Einmyria, or Lizzie as she is known, stayed in Yorkshire as she went to stay with Karen, Colin and their Ragdolls in Sowerby, North Yorkshire.

Like Freya's first three litters, the kittens were sired by Allagash Texadots, a black-silver stud owned by Jacky Atkinson.

Here are a few pictures of the family as they grew.  Enjoy...

Suckle and sleep.. that's about all they do!!

As they passed three weeks they were much more alert and active.  They began to play-fight, both with each other and with anything else that caught their eye (Siguna's tail was a favourite!).  At this age their eyes looked blue, but they did not remain that colour.

The first one is Northsprite Einmyria.  A blue girl.

By 5 weeks the kittens really were growing fast.  They were well on their way to being litter trained and they were both eating solid foods.  They loved to play with each other or with one of the many toys they had in their room.  They both loved climbing and their legs were becoming stronger and stronger.

As the kittens passed 6 weeks, they continued to grow and strengthen.  Einmyria LOVED climbing.  Anything would do, including our legs!

7 weeks old.  We put up a climbing frame for them and they loved it!   Here's a picture of Eisa, Einmyria and Siguna on their new climbing frame.

So...Who's the Queen of the castle then?

9 weeks.  Eisa and Einmyria were given the freedom of the house after their first injections.  They loved to play together and were seldom apart.  Siguna also liked to join in and they played chase for hours before settling down for a well earned nap.  Here's a photo of the two of them during a brief quiet moment!

Aged 12 weeks, the kittens were almost ready to be re-homed.  They got on well with people and cats (see below), including Thor, who joined us whilst the kittens were about 9 weeks old.
