All About Northsprite Ocicats

Northsprite Ocicats is simply the name we have given to ourselves in order to become breeders of our pet Ocicats. So that we could give all our future Ocicat kittens the same prefix, we applied to the Cat Fancy and were given permission to use "Northsprite."
Why 'Northsprite'? There's no definite answer to that. We wanted some reference to our Yorkshire home, hence 'North'. And 'sprite', well, we suppose it refers to our family's interest in mythology and the fantasy creatures that dwell within it. We also thought the word sounded OK as a prefix.. Oh yes, and we could spell it! Who Are We? We are a normal, busy family, consisting of Mum, Dad and two lads. We have many interests, our cats being just one of them. We are not a business, far from it. Breeding cats, on our small scale, has many rewards, but a profit is definitely not one of them!! Where are we? We are based in Sowerby Bridge, a small mill town, nestled in Pennine West Yorkshire. It lies about half way between Leeds and Manchester. A great place to live if you want a wide choice of football teams within a short distance, or if you love the exciting game of rugby league! Our Cats... We currently have 4 Ocicats. Freya is a tawny as his her daughter Skadi. Siguna is a blue-silver and Thor is a chocolate. Skadi is a Northsprite but the other 3 have come from Rosemary Caunter and have the prefix 'Thickthorn.'
